Position Summary:
Responsible for purchasing direct and indirect materials, equipment, tools, supplies, and services. Plan, review, source, buy, and manage inventory to assure the delivery of goods and services to support operating and strategic needs.

Key Job Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Assess current inventory levels and determine optimal ordering quantities to meet production and customer needs. Regularly review safety stock levels and reorder quantities in collaboration with Planning & Scheduling. Oversee Vendor stocking program and ensure proper management of Vendor Controlled area to prevent overstocking and ensure accurate item identification.
- Generate purchase orders for goods and services, oversee vendor lead times, and enforce adherence to delivery schedules by vendors.
- Monitor and report on the status of purchase orders to all supply chain stakeholders, addressing any discrepancies related to order quantity, pricing, or delivery requirements.
- Conduct cost analysis on purchased parts to identify opportunities for cost savings through negotiations or exploring new supply sources.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and identify new sources of supply when existing vendors are insufficient or alternatives are required. Maintain the PU-4 Critical Vendor Evaluation Summary 2024 to track and communicate feedback and discrepancies with vendors and internal supply chain departments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction efforts in products and processes.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred.
- Experience of 1-3 years in purchasing, materials management, or related field required.
Physical Requirements:
· Extended periods of seated work at a desk using a computer.
· Ability to lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds occasionally.
· Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and walk for prolonged durations.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
