Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various saws and cutting equipment to produce high-quality components according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to perform quality inspections throughout the production process. The Saw Operator will work closely with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and maintain high standards of precision.
Responsibilities
- Operate saws and cutting machines, ensuring accurate cuts based on technical drawings and specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance on saws and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with team members in assembling components and performing necessary welding tasks as required.
- Utilize CNC machinery when necessary for complex cutting operations.
- Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles in the production process to maintain quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience operating saws or similar machinery in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with lathe operations, milling machines, and basic welding techniques is a plus.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools.
- Understanding of GD&T principles is advantageous for ensuring product quality.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
