Medical Assistant

Position Overview

Ganger Dermatology is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will work closely with our healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient care by assisting with clinical tasks, managing patient flow, and providing education and support. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic dermatology clinic, making a tangible difference in patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure seamless patient flow in the waiting room and exam rooms
• Prepare patients for examinations by collecting health histories, updating records, and ensuring accurate documentation
• Assist healthcare providers with documenting, processing, and verifying patient information using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
• Effectively communicate patient concerns, questions, and updates to providers
• Respond promptly to patient inquiries and complete assigned tasks efficiently
• Support routine administrative tasks, including updating medical records, obtaining prior authorizations, scheduling appointments, and assisting with billing processes
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and adequate supply levels in work areas and exam rooms
• Answer patient questions, provide clear and empathetic education on treatment plans, and ensure optimal patient satisfaction
• Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA regulations, as well as clinic policies and procedures
• Continuously look for ways to improve processes and enhance the patient experience 

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required 
• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred
