Gannon University, a Catholic university located in Erie, PA and Ruskin, FL has a collaborative and dynamic faculty that prepares motivated students intellectually, professionally and personally for leadership roles in their careers, society and church. This is a full-time, 12-month tenure track faculty position with 12 credits of administrative release time to perform the responsibilities of the chairperson. In-person engagement with students, faculty and administration is expected. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and education. - Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in student-centered learning with an emphasis on student learning outcomes.
- Work collaboratively, emphasizing professional education integrated with liberal-learning student outcomes.
- Engage consistently with Gannon’s SLP program at the Ruskin, FL location.
- Utilize interactive and collaborative teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.
- Advise students, engage in creative scholarly activities, and participate in professional, university, and community service activities and partnerships.
- Support and promote the University’s inclusive mission, Catholic identity, and traditions in liberal arts and professional education.

The Morosky College of Health Professions & Sciences at Gannon University offers a diverse range of programs, from associate to doctoral degrees, including partnerships with medical, dental, veterinary and pharmacy schools. The college boasts a comprehensive Patient Simulation Center, featuring 14 medium- and high-fidelity patient simulators and hands-on training facilities. The Communication Sciences and Disorders undergraduate program at Gannon University prepares students to become health care professionals following the Liberal Studies core courses and the prerequisite standard courses for admission to a graduate program in speech-language pathology or audiology. Both 4 year and 3 2 pathways are offered in person for undergraduates. Students are able to gain required observation hours in the Erie community or on campus in the Gannon University Wellness Speech-Language Pathology Clinic. Students are engaged in NSSHLA activities in the community. Eighteen (18) credits for online prerequisite coursework are available to interested students.
The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program is a full-time in person 62 credit curriculum. The theoretical and practical professional curriculum consists of advanced courses, research and clinical experiences relevant to the discipline and align with the certification requirements for the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. The SLP Program is equipped with advanced technology for voice and speech disorder analysis. Interprofessional collaboration is available with other health professions in the college / university, including radiologic science, OT, PT and Education. New SLP clinic space allows supervised student learning to occur with members of the community experiencing disorders of speech, language and / or hearing.
The Master of Science degree program in Speech-Language Pathology is a Candidate for Accreditation by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. A supportive clinical community allows a rich, positive environment of SLP clinicians in school districts, medical facilities and disorder-specific support groups to enhance student learning.
