Position Summary
Gannon University's Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, located at the Ruskin, Florida campus, seeks a core faculty member to serve as the Director of Clinical Education, with assigned rank and appointment based on experience and earned degree. This full-time, 12-month position will begin upon hire or as negotiated. Gannon seeks excellence through inclusiveness and invites members of underrepresented groups to apply.
Gannon University faculty work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver instruction, advise students, engage in scholarship, and participate in service. The Director of Clinical Education will work closely with the Program Director to manage the Clinical Education program including placing students in appropriate clinical sites, monitoring student progression, addressing conflict, and providing support and training to clinical partners. The faculty team will work closely with the Director of Clinical Education to monitor and discuss student readiness for clinical experiences. The Director of Clinical Education also holds faculty responsibilities including teaching, scholarship, and service. Instructional content areas are to be determined by candidate expertise and program needs.

Gannon University is located in Ruskin, Florida along the Gulf Coast of Florida in the Tampa Bay / St. Petersburg / Bradenton region. The DPT program is housed within the School of Rehabilitative Sciences in the Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences.
Required Qualifications
Requirements for a tenure track appointment include an earned advanced post-professional degree (e.g. PhD, EdD DHSc, etc.) in physical therapy or a related field.
Requirements for a teaching track appointment require the DPT degree.
Additional qualifications for both tracks include greater than two (2) years of teaching experience in a DPT program, greater than five (5) years of clinical experience as a physical therapist. Two years of clinical practice must include experience as a SCCE or clinical instructor in physical therapy. Candidates must be eligible for FL PT licensure. Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience as a Director of Clinical Education.
Prior experience with Exxat Prism and the CIET.
APTA Board Certified Specialist or other advanced certification, and a record of scholarship, professional and community service, and experience with accreditation processes.
