Position Summary

Job Description:
The student worker will assist Physical Plant team members with:
The student worker will assist Physical Plant team members with:
- Custodial duties as needed which includes: trash removal, replenishing/delivering supplies, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, window washing and other duties as needed.
- Grounds work as needed which includes: minor landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming and edging lawns and landscaped areas. Water plants, shrubs, trees and flower beds and clean outdoor areas as needed. Remove litter and debris from sidewalks, parking lots, and outdoor spaces. Assist with planting, weeding, fertilizing, and mulching flower beds and shrubbery. Maintain and clean grounds maintenance equipment. Assist with special projects, such as campus beautification or seasonal tasks.

Maintenance duties as needed which includes: Assist with routine maintenance tasks, including minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and general building upkeep.
Assist with tasks such as painting, patching drywall, replacing light bulbs, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and storage rooms, hanging ceiling tile
apartment renovations, job site clean up and vehicle maintenance.
- May also assist with event setups and breakdowns.
Must be able to perform duties with limited supervision, while efficiently completing daily responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
Ability to lift 50 pounds, must be able to ascend and descend stairs and a day to day basis in building where no elevators are provided, must be able to articulate/implement University policies, rules and regulations
