Summary of Position : Responsible for booking corporate, production, entertainment, film, fashion, pharmaceutical, etc. on an established base of accounts in a designated geographic area, consisting of key accounts / key prospects and other active accounts, including conducting customers interviews, preparing and executing action plans, negotiating rates / contracts and closing.
Primary Functions :
- To serve as a Gansevoort Hotel Group Brand Ambassador and maintain integrity of brand standards and goals.
- Manage a base of 25-50 of the hotel top accounts, being most of them multiple hotel users.
- Obtain 35-75 new key prospects, on a weekly basis.
- Maintain prospect, independently solicit and book business active accounts.
- Determine and recommend prospective production accounts from free market information, as well as analyze information from purchased lead sources (historical and other statistical data).
- Conduct customer interviews and prepare customer call analysis.
- Solicit group, banquet and other function business directly and jointly with others through the preparation, execution and completion of Action Plans.
- Quote and negotiate prices with customer representatives, confirming reservations by letter and drawing up contracts; signing for the hotel and obtain customer signatures to close the transaction.
- Upon closing, coordinate and follow up with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required by Hotel Gansevoort Policy and Procedural Guidelines.
- As directed, participate in trade shows, conventions and promotional events within the hotel, the industry and customer organizations.
- Participate in designated training programs.
- Achieve established group room nights and revenue as outlined by agreed upon goals.
