Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. It is a part-time position, however, there is the opportunity to quickly move to full-time. The ideal candidate will have availability to work 3-4 days/week and play a crucial role in providing high-quality resident care and ensuring the smooth operation of our home plus. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to work effectively with residents of all backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Record resident histories and vital signs accurately in electronic health records.
- Administer medications as directed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization.
- Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional resident care.
- Effective team player helping with housekeeping and meal preparation.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Experience with medication administration and acute care practices.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Experience using Epic or similar electronic health record systems is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents, families, hospice, and staff effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
