Tile Setter (Residential Construction)

Responsibilities and Duties

As part of the team, you will be responsible to the following:

• Drive yourself to our job sites.
• Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and ensuring proper substrate conditions
• Measure and cut tiles to fit around obstacles and in irregular spaces
• Install tiles using adhesive, mortar, or grout, ensuring alignment and uniform spacing
• Create appealing tile patterns and designs to enhance the aesthetics of residential spaces
• Work with different types of tiles, including ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, and mosaic
• Repair and replace damaged or broken tiles as needed
• Collaborate with clients, designers, and contractors to ensure project specifications are met
• Adhere to safety standards and industry best practices to ensure a safe work environment

Our requirements are:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Required to travel throughout Southern California
• In-depth knowledge of tile installation techniques, materials, and tools
• Ability to interpret design plans, blueprints, and specifications
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for precision and aesthetics
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Physical ability to lift heavy tiles and perform repetitive tasks
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license

Hours per week:

Full time M-F with 8 hour shifts.
