SALES ASSISTANT MANAGER

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Store Manager, your main focus as Sales Assistant Manager is to assist the Store Manager in all aspects of the store operations, by providing leadership that optimizes sales results, with specific ownership of the customer experience on the sales floor. Through effective floor management, you will promote a positive shopping experience for each customer, while leading and inspiring a high performing team to drive operational efficiency and increase traffic through digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set challenging but achievable goals with an emphasis on service quality and customer satisfaction, as well as financial performance;

• Accountable for achieving and surpassing store business targets, including sales and productivity measures, labour management, customer satisfaction, inventory shrinkage and other compliance measures;

• Motivate, coach, and mobilize the team in order to maximize sales performance and optimize the shopping experience by offering styling recommendations and building of loyal customer relationships;

• Communicate and support brand, promotional, product and visual directives and standards as set out corporately;

• In partnership with the Operations assistant manager, ensure that the execution/adaptation of the visual presentation, as well at the merchandising directives/standards for the sales floor are properly executed and in a timely manner; continually review to ensure clear and consistent execution and alignment to brand standards;

• Maintain awareness of competitors or community activities that could impact business results;

• Provide coaching and feedback that promotes positive behavioral change, in a fair and constructive manner;

• Maintain store standards in all areas of the business, in accordance with company operating policies and procedures, and ensure communication of these to all team members;

• Ensure consistent communication on company initiatives to all team members;

• Ensure all Loss Prevention policies are respected and followed;

• Manage and resolve customer requests and feedback in a timely manner;

• Manage, reinforce and be accountable for all activities related to providing a safe working environment;

• Exemplify the company’s vision, mission, values and brand behaviors; lead by example at all times;

• Complete and support other duties at the discretion of management;

• Provide support to the Store Operations Team upon request, based on the needs of the business.

To qualify for this role, you must have...

• High school diploma; post-secondary education in Business or related discipline, an asset;

• 2 years of management experience, preferably in a fashion clothing environment, or equivalent management experience;

• Social media skills, Knowledge of mobile devices, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) or Open-

Office;

• Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
