Overview
Garage Force is looking for a part-time into full-time Concrete Coating Lead Installer to join our team.
As Lead Installer, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the installation of coatings to floors and surfaces. This process includes operating general construction equipment such as large grinders, hand grinders, shop vacs, floor polishers, etc. Most of our work focuses on garage floors; however, we also apply coatings to surfaces such as driveways, patios, porches, and basements.
We’re seeking candidates with 2 years experience repairing or maintaining driveways, roads, parking garages, or other rights of way. The ideal candidate has leadership experience and takes pride in creating something that’s both functional and visually appealing to our customers every day.
Specifically regarding the experience requirement, we need someone who could serve as the Qualifying Party for a New Mexico GA-2 Maintenance and Repair classification license for the business. The experience requirement is available in more detail in the Position Requirements section below.
This is a leadership position where you will work with and manage 1-2 less experienced installers. The pay rate is $30-$38 per hour. You will receive full pay and paid-for travel expenses including paid meals to attend training in La Crosse, Wisconsin between February 16th and February 19th, 2025.
This is a new Garage Force location, so hours may be limited during the first few months. Our goal is to have you working full-time hours as soon as possible. We guarantee a minimum of 10 hours of pay per week, even when no work is available.

Floor Coating Crew Leader Job Duties
- Driving to customer sites using a company pickup truck while towing an equipment trailer
- Parking, hitching and unhitching the trailer to/from the pickup truck
- Preparing surfaces by scouring floors, repairing damage, or removing old paint.
- Operating general construction equipment such as large grinders, hand grinders, shop vacs, floor polishers, etc.
- Mixing, matching, and applying coating systems and finishes to floor surfaces.
- Providing decorative and faux finishes as the project requires.
- Handling planning and prep work in an efficient manner.
- Calculating the amounts of materials and time required for each project.
- Taping off areas as needed.
- Cleaning up supplies and equipment throughout the application process to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Communicating with clients to ensure satisfaction.
- Overseeing and managing Coating Installation Crew Members.
- Detailed tracking and accounting of all product, equipment, and supplies.
- Overseeing and ensuring proper maintenance of equipment.
- Attending Home, Auto, and RV Trade Shows with the business owner to meet potential customers and answer questions about the product
Position Requirements
- Must be dependable and on time.
- Ability to serve as the Qualifying Party for the GA-2 Maintenance and Repair Classification license. - Experience managing and teaching others in construction, painting or concrete techniques highly preferred
- Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal/motor vehicle background check.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Experience using a pickup truck to tow a trailer
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in changing environmental conditions such as hot, cold, or wet weather
- Ability to perform physical labor for 8-12 hours a day and lift at least 50 pounds or more.

- Must be available to work Tuesday through Saturday

- Must be comfortable with working a variable weekly schedule and be available to work any day of the week listed above on short notice. There may be anywhere from 0-5 projects per week. Our goal is to get to 4-5 projects per week as soon as possible
- Ability to travel up to 1.5 hours one way from Albuquerque for projects. Almost all projects will be in or near Albuquerque and Santa Fe
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
