About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at PDQ Door Company in Hampden, ME.
As Maine's leading provider of garage doors, dock equipment, and automatic pedestrian doors, we offer superior service throughout the state.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management: Supervise and lead a team of technicians and administrative staff, assigning tasks, scheduling work shifts, and ensuring adequate staffing levels. Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to enhance skills and performance.
- Service Operations: Coordinate service calls and dispatch technicians to customer locations, ensuring timely and quality completion of service/repair jobs. Monitor inventory levels and implement safety protocols.
- Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Sales & Marketing: Develop strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones, collaborating with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.
- Financial Management: Prepare and manage the budget for the service location, monitoring financial performance and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality standards for service delivery, conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in the garage door service or skilled trade industry.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical knowledge of garage door systems and repair techniques.
- General construction knowledge and/or experience.
