Duties & Responsibilities
As a Corporate Development Intern at GarageCo, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team’s efforts to drive strategic growth and innovation. You will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of corporate development while working in a dynamic and energetic environment. Your responsibilities will include:
Market Research and Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, emerging markets, and competitive landscapes.
- Analyze data and prepare reports on market conditions, potential opportunities, and threats.
Financial Modeling and Analysis
- Assist in the creation of financial models to evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments.
- Perform financial analysis and due diligence on target companies and investment opportunities.
Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)
- Assist in the identification, evaluation, and execution of M&A opportunities.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on potential acquisition targets.
- Support the due diligence process by gathering and organizing relevant data and documents.
Partnerships and Alliances
- Conduct research on potential partners and strategic alliances.
- Assist in the development of partnership proposals and presentations.
- Support the management and maintenance of existing partnerships.
Project Management
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate development projects.
- Track project progress and ensure deadlines are met.
- Prepare project documentation and reports.
Presentation and Communication
- Create and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders on market research, financial analysis, and strategic initiatives.
- Assist in drafting internal communications and updates regarding corporate development activities.
Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the Corporate Development team, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, and managing databases.
- Assist in the preparation of meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up action items.
Learning and Development
- Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in corporate development.
- Attend training sessions, workshops, and team meetings to stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
Collaboration and Teamwork
- Work closely with team members and cross-functional departments to support corporate development initiatives.
- Contribute to a positive and energetic team environment by actively participating in team activities and fostering collaboration.
Qualifications
- Junior, senior, or MBA candidate
- 3.0 GPA
Details
- Duration – six months, starting on or around August 1st
- Remote – with opportunities to come into the NY office
- Location – NY, NJ, CT, PA (preferred)
- Pay – Co-Op (Credits through school)
- Time – 20-40 hours a week
