Job Summary
PRIOR Dealership Automotive Accounting experience is REQUIRED. Candidates should have a proven & experienced track record in all facets of Automotive Accounting, ranging from accounts receivable, accounts payable, deal compliance, deal billing and posting, general ledger reconciliations, and DMV / title issues.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Breaking down and posting all deals in DMS
- Post daily EFTs from lenders and manufacturer
- Submit any coupons included in car deals or service/parts transactions
- Ensure all deposits and CODs (cash on delivery) are in-house and posted properly
- Process and post daily bank deposits
- Assist with the preparing of weekly salesperson commission payments
- Stock in New and Used Vehicle purchases
- Special projects and filing as needed
- Maintain all vehicle sales schedules, such as rebates, COD, and inventory.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of prior work experience in a Dealership accounting office, focusing on Automotive Accounting, required
- Prior DMV work experience is strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Dealer Management Systems (AutoMate DMS is strongly preferred)
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Ability to communicate, both verbal and written, with various departments.
- Advanced experience with MS Excel, MS Word, and Google Sheets
- Strong customer service focused
- Organized and detail-oriented
Physical Demands:
- Perform the physical duties of the job, including; standing for long periods, sitting for more extended periods, walking around the dealership
- Ability to continuously stand or walk frequently
- Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently
- Ability to lift to 25 lbs. occasionally
