Summary:

As an Express Service Advisor, you'll be the primary point of contact for a customer expressing the need for an express oil change. When a customer comes into the service dept, the Express Service Advisor works with the customer to determine what parts are needed, how much time it will take to repair, and then schedules the appropriate Service Technician for the repair based on the customer's needs. 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers as they pull into the service drive area..
  • Assist customers by asking them if they have an appointment and if they know who their appointment is with. Confirm with the customer whether they are waiting or dropping off their vehicle.
  • Confirm whether the customer has a loaner vehicle reserved. If the customer does have a loaner reserved, politely remind them to take their driver’s license and insurance card with them to present when picking up the loaner vehicle.
  • Review the pre-write with the customer
  • Assist Service Advisors with administrative duties such as printing the next day’s pre-writes and attaching warranty inquiries, calling extended contract companies approvals, writing internal repair orders, processing PDI’s, etc
  • Perform customer service follow-up calls.
  • Fill in for the Service Advisor when they are not on the job (lunches, illness, vacations, etc.).

Requirements:

  • Experience working at an auto dealership or auto repair is preferred.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess the ability to explain complex automotive repairs to customers in a manner that makes sense.
  • Good time management skills and multitasking ability.
  • Ability to work well with Service Technicians.
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving history
  • Possess the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Regular Attendance

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to continuously stand, sit, and/or walk frequently
  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally
