Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong ability to engage with customers to drive sales. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining the overall presentation of the store.

Responsibilities

• UPS Store employees need a variety of skills, including:
• Customer service: The ability to provide excellent customer service, including listening to customers and offering solutions to their shipping needs
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math
• Computer skills: Knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite, and internet applications
• Physical ability: The ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 50–75 lbs
• Teamwork: The ability to work well with others and be a team player
• Organization: The ability to be detail-oriented and organized
• Flexibility: The ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and seasonal peak periods
• Aptitude: A general aptitude for technical endeavors, such as digital printing and point-of-sale systems
• Professionalism: A professional appearance and the ability to learn all aspects of the business quickly

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for transaction processing and inventory tasks.
• A proactive attitude towards selling and meeting customer needs.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
