Garcia Clinical Laboratory is looking to fill an afternoon / night time Laboratory Technician position. Position is Tuesday through Saturday. Hiring 2nd shift (Evening/Night).
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Urinalysis and Microbiology Departments)
- Daily instrument maintenance and quality control
- Receive and process specimen samples
- Calculate test results and log and report results using a computer
- Review and release patient results with a knowledge of critical values
- Perform quality control and calibrate equipment if necessary
- Maintain analyzer equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies
- Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment
Education and Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good team working skills
- Bachelors of Science degree preferred
-ASCP Certification is preferred, but not required
-Minimum of Associate in Science is REQUIRED
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
