Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing for court hearings, trials, and mediations related to family law cases.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Conduct thorough legal research.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and answer questions regarding their cases.
- Prepare exhibits and evidence for court presentations.
- Stay informed about changes in family law regulations and best practices.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in Family Law
- Proven experience as a paralegal in family law or a similar area of practice.
- Strong legal drafting skills with the ability to write clearly and concisely.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all aspects of work.
- Bilingual Spanish/English
