Position Highlights:

Key Responsibilities:
- Draft legal documents including complaints, motions, answers, and discovery requests related to construction contracts, project delays, payment issues, and lien enforcement.
- Conduct in-depth legal research on construction law, including statutes, regulations, and case law impacting the industry.
- Assist in the preparation for depositions, hearings, and trials, with opportunities to take on direct client interaction.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and assist with negotiations, settlement discussions, and dispute resolution.
- Represent clients in construction-related matters involving contract disputes, payment issues, liens, and other construction-related conflicts.
- Maintain case files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with legal procedures.
- Stay current on industry trends and legal developments affecting the construction sector.
Qualifications:
- Required: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Required: 5 years of experience in construction litigation or other complex civil litigation.
- Strong Legal Writing Skills: Excellent ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
- Analytical and Research Skills: Strong ability to research legal issues and apply construction law principles to real-world problems.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; the ability to interact effectively with clients and opposing counsel.
- Bar Admission: Active member of the Florida Bar
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or coursework in construction law or related legal fields (e.g., contract law, construction financing, construction claims).
