POSITION SUMMARY INFORMATION: DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
Job Summary: The State of Montana (herein State), Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) and Department of Corrections (COR) established multiple contracts to provide professional and allied healthcare staffing services. These services include, but are not limited to, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, and other healthcare positions for all State agencies in need of these services.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Some of your duties may include:
- Examines, diagnoses, and treats patients with the guidance of a Medical Doctor.
- Prescribes medications to cure illness, records patient vital signs and running diagnostic tests to determine the source of the patient’s symptoms.
- Greets patients and gather medical information
- Gives physical exams to make correct diagnoses
- Works with Physicians and Nurses to prescribe and administer treatments
- Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment
- Instructs patients and their families about best practices at home
- Documents and update patient records
- Refers patients to specialists as needed
Required Education, Certifications, Licenses, and Experience:
- Must possess a Montana NP licensure
- Must possess a valid CPR/BLS card
- Must be able to pass a background check
Preferred Education, Certifications, Licenses, and Experience:
- One (1) year of experience as an NP
Work Environment:
Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
Physical Requirements:
Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach during shifts. Employees may be also required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
