Position Overview
GardaWorld Security is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to play a critical role in enhancing the organization's operations by providing independent and objective evaluations of financial and operational processes. This position is responsible for assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management practices, and governance processes to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Internal Auditor will work closely with various departments to identify areas for improvement and provide actionable recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting Audits: Planning and executing internal audits to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with laws and regulations, and the reliability of financial reporting.
- Risk Assessment: Identifying and evaluating risks that could impact the organization’s objectives and operations.
- Reporting Findings: Preparing detailed reports on audit findings, including recommendations for improvements, and presenting these findings to management and the board of directors.
- Monitoring Compliance: Ensuring that the organization adheres to internal policies and external regulations,and monitoring the implementation of corrective actions.
- Advisory Role: Providing guidance and recommendations to management on best practices for risk management and internal controls.
- Continuous Improvement: Assisting in the development of audit plans and strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the audit process.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other departments to facilitate audits and ensure a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s operations.
- Professional Development: Staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in auditing and risk management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent combination of related work experience and education
- A minimum of 2 year of internal auditing experience.
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills (fluent in English)
- Analytical skills - data and processes, internal control and corporate governance frameworks
- Strong understanding and commitment to professional auditing standards, internal controls, risk assessment, regulations and compliance guidelines
- Superb interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills.
