Community Day Services Manager
The Community Day Services Manager will focus primarily on supporting and supervising our DSPs. They’ll be regularly present in program rooms, engaged in community outings, and available to provide guidance and day-to-day support.
The Community Day Services Manager, in accordance with Agency policies and procedures, is responsible for the supervision of instructors and the quality of services in the Garden Center Day Program. This position reports directly to the Community Day Services Director.Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure the individuals we serve are treated with dignity and respect.
- Serve as a role model for a culture of optimism and high expectations for staff.
- Establish a good rapport with the individuals we serve, their families, other staff, and the community.
- Work with instructors and QHSPs to ensure that day activities are consistent with the individual’s plans and goals.
- Generate ideas for continuous quality improvements and enhancing the amount of choice for people receiving services.
- Ensure quality programming is taking place – Curriculum, Classes & Clubs, Outings in the Community, Volunteering, overall Meaningful Day Services
- Responsible for DSP training – new & ongoing
- Actively facilitating outings in the community.
- Maintaining a presence in program rooms, multiple visits per room each day.
- Facilitates at least one weekly class/club.
- Reviews and approves daily plans – makes day of adjustments of daily plans.
- Assists with coverage of program rooms as needed.
- Supervise day services DSPs and conduct annual staff evaluations.
- Facilitate monthly team meetings regarding agency changes and decisions and to assist in problem solving.
- Manage budget line items as indicated by the CDS Director.
- In collaboration with the Director of Community Day Services, recruit and hire qualified candidates that share the philosophy of GCS.
- Inform the RN and/or QHSP as well as the Director of Community Day Services of all health, physical, or behavioral changes regarding the individuals we serve.
- Assist the Director of Community Day Services in ensuring our Day Program is kept clean, safe, and in an orderly fashion. Submitting maintenance requests as needed.
- Maintain a working knowledge of regulatory issues and ensure compliance with them.
- Perform other duties, as assigned or requested, to meet the needs of the specific job assignment.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
