SUMMARY
As a Grain Scale Operator, you will be responsible for scaling inbound, outbound, and transfer grain trucks at various elevators across the company. The Grain Scale Operator will need to demonstrate a positive attitude, excellent communication, and customer service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Properly weigh each scale ticket on every load delivered/shipped by the grain elevator
- Properly identify the correct commodity, customer, and delivery sheet for entry into the database
- Properly grade each grain sample and enter it correctly into database
- Maintain effective communication with the location manager, operators, and all customers
- Uphold a positive attitude and excellent customer service
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work overtime as required during harvest
- Regular hours: 7:30am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday
- Must obtain a valid driver’s license
- Maintain a clean driving record
- Must be detail-orientated
- Must have good basic computer skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, Internet
- Fluent in English, bilingual speaking in Spanish is a bonus
