Position Purpose & Summary
The Assistant Chief Engineer will support the Chief Engineer by managing the Engineering department and overseeing Resort and Hotel facilities
Responsibilities include leading an ambitious Engineering team of 10. Planning preventative maintenance, managing projects, develop SOP'S, ordering parts, budget management and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Essential Functions:
- Manage and lead a team of 10 engineers, develop schedules, track work orders, supervise in absence of Chief Engineer.
- Manage & oversee HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, fire systems, pools, kitchen equipment.
- Ability to evaluate repair processes for hotel ice machines, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting etc.
- Deliver "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
- Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

- Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, Pools, Hot Tubs, ice machines, compressors, motors.
- Strong organizational methods for maintenance records, develop SOP's, PM logs and forecasting.

Position Requirements:
- Minimum Knowledge & Skills: Avg knowledge of the building trades, ability to read blueprints, avg knowledge on Chillers & boilers, Pools, Hot Tubs, Hospitality or service Industry exp., Microsoft office, outlook and ability to work in the computer for Parts ordering, purchasing, minor pool experience, management & scheduling skills for team of 10.
- Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: Bachelor's degree or related in field exp.
- License, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Colorado DL, CPO, CPR/AED within the first year. Any mechanical Trades Certs a plus.

- Daily - work with both Guests, Members & other Departments
- Weekly - Work with Guests, Members, Other Depts, vendors
- Occasionally - Participate in one-on-one coaching sessions.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: This position requires continuous teamwork as well as internal and cross-departmental communication. Constantly working with other departments on repairs, scheduled maint. Or maintaining equipment around other departments while in use.
