Job Summary: The Retail Receptionist at Garden Remedies, Inc. plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of our dispensary. This position is responsible for checking IDs, monitoring security cameras, answering phone calls, providing accurate information to customers, and managing the check-in process for medical patients through the MTC portal. The Retail Receptionist will not be involved in ringing registers or receiving tips, but will focus on front-desk and security duties.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Customer Service: Provide high-level, boutique customer service that exceeds expectations. Greet and check in customers and patients as they enter the dispensary.
- ID Verification: Accurately check and verify the identification of all customers entering the building to ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Security Monitoring: Monitor security cameras and the premises to ensure the safety of customers and staff. Keep a vigilant eye on the parking lot and entry points.
- Phone Management: Answer phone calls professionally, providing necessary information and accurate details to inquiries.
- Medical Patient Management: Check in medical patients through the MTC portal, ensuring they have allotment before they enter the shop.
- Information Dissemination: Be knowledgeable about GRI’s products and services to provide accurate and helpful information to customers.
- Compliance: Follow and execute compliant practices adhering to state regulations and GRI’s standard operating procedures.
- Support and Communication: Work collaboratively with the dispensary team to ensure smooth operations and effective communication. Report any inventory or security issues to management promptly.
- Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized front desk and security booth area.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Knowledgeable about cannabis products and current industry trends.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a retail or security environment.
- Familiarity with online databases and POS systems is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills, with an ability to handle high-traffic environments calmly and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Must have weekend and closing shift availability.
Supervision:
- Works under the general supervision of the dispensary’s management team.
- This position does not supervise other employees.
