Garden State Environmental, Inc. (GSE) is an environmental, health and safety (EHS) consulting firm, in business since 1985. We have an immediate opening for a part-time Environmental Technician. This part-time position offers an exciting opportunity to learn about the EHS field and to obtain practical hands-on experience. Work involves assisting our Environmental Specialists conduct various field investigations including collecting water and other environmental samples to be submitted to a laboratory for analysis. This work is typically scheduled during the work day but may involve occasional early morning and/or weekend work.
GSE will provide training through working directly with our staff. The position requires routine travel to our client locations throughout NJ, however, most sampling trips will originate from our office in Glen Rock. Some experience in conducting environmental inspections and a basic understanding of building construction is desired, but not required. We are looking for a bright hard-working person who can work flexible hours, help support our projects, and gain valuable experience in environmental services.
Candidates must have the physical ability to complete essential job tasks, such as carrying boxes of water samples and walking and bending for extended periods.
