RETAIL TEAM MEMBER

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Team Member to join our Retail division. You will be expected to handle sales of fish, plants, and a variety of pond products within our retail store. Additionally, our team members are expected to maintain the upkeep of the retail store so that it is always inviting to our customers. This may include cleaning and maintaining fish tanks, weeding the grounds, deadheading plants, stocking retail shelves, and other organizational tasks.
New to the pond world? Garden State Koi offers extensive on-the-job training to get you up to speed!
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Sales of fish, plants and pond products
· Help problem solve basic pond issues with customers
· Clean and maintain fish tanks
· Weeding and deadheading plants
· Stocking and blocking of retail shelves
· Help with organization of stockrooms
QUALIFICATIONS
· Must be able to lift 50-75lbs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transport required
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and also independently
- Self-motivated and willing to learn new things
- Punctual, able to follow direction, and able to communicate effectively
- Customer-friendly
EXPERIENCE
· Previous retail experience preferred
· Previous Pond or Fish tank experience preferred, but not required
