Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To be responsible at all times for creating a safe, comfortable and pleasant dining experience for the residents, their guests and other visitors.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

· Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe dining room and service area.

· Prepare dining room and service areas before each meal.

· Serve residents and guests as they arrive in the dining room at serving time.

· Bus tables during meals.

· Clean and reset dining room after each meal.

· Clean and organize service area after each meal.

· Store and label food properly for infection control.

· Record meal counts after each meal.

· Clean equipment and work areas according to schedule.

· All other duties as assigned by Dietary Manager/Lead Cook or Executive Director.

Performance Expectations:

· Carry out all policies and procedures of Garden View Assisted Living.

· Report any on-the-job injuries to your supervisor immediately.

· Practice safety in working with and around kitchen equipment.

· Develop good working relationships with employees, residents, families, and visitors.

· Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.

Other Duties:

Performs other duties as assigned, and in accordance with the philosophy and mission of Garden View Assisted Living.

Must be able to relate to residents and staff in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances.

Qualifications:

Must be able to work flexible hours.

Must be able to relate to residents and staff in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances.

Must pass a background check and drug test.

Working Conditions:

Works in a sometimes hot, humid and/or cold environment.

Working Hazards include, but are not limited to: Hot surfaces, cold or freezing surfaces, steam, wet floors, hot oil, heavy lifting, knives and other sharp objects, mechanical equipment and cleaning chemicals.

Standing for multiple hours, and in duration.

Physical Demands:

Must possess sight / hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.

Must be able to stand for multiple hours, and in duration.

Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
