What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Director position at Gardens at Northridge?
Gardens at Northridge is looking for a Food Service Director to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Oversee equipment maintenance, recording keeping and all sanitation activities.
- Order food and kitchen supplies from approved vendors and maintain good communication with all vendors.
- Record and maintain adequate food inventory and complete reports as required by Pacifica.
- Follow all Pacifica dietary policies and procedures and ensure compliance by other food service employees.
- Train, manage and supervise food service staff, practice time management techniques, and insure the highest possible customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of managerial experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required
- Demonstrate positive attitude and ability to work well with all people, particularly the elderly.
- Able to manage a team or approximately 23 employees.
- Able to provide approximately 150 meals daily.
Shift Specific Information:
- Tuesday - Saturday, 6:00 am - 2:00 pm
- Weekend availability required.
