Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program tailored to the interests and abilities of residents.
- Coordinate event planning for various social, educational, and recreational activities.
- Manage schedules to ensure a variety of engaging programs are available throughout the week.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to assess residents' needs and preferences for activity participation.
- Facilitate group activities that encourage social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all participants during activities.
- Document participation and gather feedback to improve future programming.
- Provide training and support to staff volunteers assisting with activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior care settings, particularly in long-term care or assisted living environments.
- Knowledge of recreational therapy principles and practices is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and staff.
- Experience in dementia care is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage schedules efficiently while adapting to changing resident needs.

Pay: $50,047.00 - $52,112.00 per year
