About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and passionate Landscape Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating beautiful and functional outdoor spaces for our clients. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and vision and then translate those ideas into stunning designs.

Gardens of the Carolinas, Inc. is a full-service, turkey, design and build landscape company. We have provided a complete package of landscape services to the Raleigh, NC and greater Triangle area since 1981. We pride ourselves on our thorough knowledge of the profession (both in horticulture and construction) with a well thought out design process based on client input and our professional expertise. We are family-owned and operated with enthusiastic, detail-oriented employees that strive to provide our clients with the best quality of product and service. We offer a full range of design services, from on-site consultations to fully rendered, to-scale master plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients to discuss their project goals, ideas and preferences
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather information
  • Develop creative and innovative landscape design concepts
  • Obtain necessary information related to property restrictions including setbacks, relevant code permits and approvals
  • Prepare detailed design plans, including plant selections, hardscape features, etc.
  • Prepare package for presentations to clients including imagery and information regarding materials, planting selections, etc.
  • Opportunity to provide design input during the installation and construction of projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Horticulture, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in residential landscape design (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in landscape design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop) and/or drafting by hand
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for creating beautiful and sustainable outdoor spaces
