What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Steward position at Gardiner Bakehouse?
Gardiner Bakehouse is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Steward to keep our bakery running smoothly. Ability to work Sundays and Mondays is required; other shifts possible as well.
Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, baking tools, and equipment.
- Keep dishwashing station, sinks, and floors clean and organized.
- Clear and clean tables, countertops, and work surfaces.
- Assist with general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing kitchen areas.
- Take out trash and recycling.
- Handle laundry, including kitchen towels and aprons.
- Support the kitchen team by pitching in wherever needed.

- Willingness to take initiative and help out where needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
