This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with project engineers, develop skills, and work closely with the operations and engineering teams. Responsibilities will be assigned by the engineering manager based on the specific needs of each project.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review and understand P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) drawings.
- Be familiar with wiring codes, including local codes, NEC (National Electrical Code), and NFPA (National Fire Protection Association).
- Accurately interpret customer/project specifications, standard operating procedures, and documents related to control and electrical design.

Create and/or update Building Automation System (BAS) control drawings, including:
- DDC (Direct Digital Control) wiring diagrams
- Field device wiring
- Control panel layouts
- Power supplies and terminal strips
- Bills of materials
- BAS communication diagrams
- Ensure the accuracy of your work and check the work of others.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Participate in design review meetings.
- Gather all necessary information from project engineers or the operations team for project close-out documentation.

EXPERIENCE:
- Associate degree or technical certification.
- Knowledge of electrical circuitry with an emphasis on low voltage control circuitry.
- General CAD experience in Microsoft Visio or AutoCAD.
- Ability to recognize areas in the drafting processes that could benefit from development and offer suggestions for continued improvement within the Engineering Team for efficiency and accuracy.
