Gardner Animal Care Center is looking for a full-time veterinary assistant to join our team! Veterinary experience is preferred however we are willing to train the right individual. A positive, team player attitude, with excellent communication skills, is a must. The ideal candidate will be comfortable properly handling and restraining animals, understands the importance of client education, have knowledge of in-clinic laboratory equipment, is able to collect samples, feels comfortable working with other technicians and veterinarians, takes pride in a clean and organized animal hospital, and is a positive and supportive team player. Requirements
- At least one year of experience working as a Veterinary Assistant
- Working knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment
- Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
- Has experience with proper animal handling and restraint
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Works well as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
