Position Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Recruitment and Onboarding Specialist to join our Employee Engagement (HR) team. In this role, you’ll manage the entire recruitment lifecycle—from developing targeted recruitment strategies and sourcing top talent to facilitating interviews and ensuring a seamless, engaging onboarding experience for new hires. The ideal candidate has a proactive, results-driven mindset with a strong focus on identifying and pursuing high-quality candidates. You’ll be a key player in driving recruitment efforts, balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on coordination to deliver a best-in-class experience for both candidates and new team members. Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Coordinate and execute the full recruitment process. Partner with hiring managers and function leaders to understand staffing needs, develop role descriptions, and source candidates via job boards, social media, and referrals. Coordinate with hiring managers, HR, and marketing to develop targeted recruitment strategies and recruiting campaigns. Research, identify, and approach potential candidates for key positions within the company. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates, including passive job seekers. Regularly attend industry conferences, networking events, and maintain a database of potential candidates. Manage external recruitment partners. Stay updated on industry trends, talent acquisition strategies, and competitor activities.
- Interview Process: Conduct initial interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' qualifications, cultural fit, and potential for success in the organization. Provide a positive candidate experience through clear communication, interview coordination, and timely updates. Schedule and coordinate interviews across multiple teams, ensuring all parties are prepared and the process runs smoothly. Enhance the interview process by gathering feedback, refining strategies, and streamlining processes to elevate the candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Employer Branding & Candidate Engagement: Promote company culture and values through job postings, interviews, and recruitment events. Represent the company at career fairs and networking opportunities to attract top talent. Provide an engaging, hospitable, and relationship-focused candidate experience.
- Onboarding Process: Coordinate all aspects of the employee onboarding process and serve as the main point of contact for new team members. Coordinate with internal teams to set up new hires in systems, prepare all new hire materials, schedule onboarding and training meetings. Accurately enter all required information and documentation into the HRIS system. Facilitate orientation sessions that introduce new hires to the company culture, policies, and procedures. Enhance the onboarding process by gathering feedback, refining strategies, and streamlining processes to elevate the new hire experience.
- Administration & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of candidates, interview feedback, and onboarding progress in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Generate regular reports on recruitment and onboarding metrics to track the success, efficiency, and satisfaction of the processes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of recruitment and onboarding best practices, including applicable employment laws at the federal and state level.
- Knowledge of how to design and implement targeted recruitment plans that align with company goals
- Proactive, results-driven mindset with a strong focus on identifying and pursuing top talent
- Skill at cultivating and maintaining relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external recruitment partners
- Skill in sourcing candidates through multiple channels to build a strong talent pipeline
- Ability to assess candidates through screenings, interviews, and debrief sessions to identify the best fit for the role and team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Ability to adapt to new processes and changing priorities in a dynamic work environment
- Ability to maintain discretion and handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Proficiency in utilizing HRIS and ATS systems (BambooHR is a plus), Google Suite, calendar management, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards and sourcing tools
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or onboarding in a corporate setting.
- Experience with full-cycle recruitment, building candidate pipelines, and managing external recruitment partners
- Experience with employer recruitment initiatives and creating engaging recruitment materials.
Work Environment
- This is an in-person office-based role.
- Occasional travel will be required to lead onboarding in other company locations or to represent the company at career events.
