Gardner Health Services is currently recruiting to fill a Mental Health Therapist position. This is a full-time position in the Ethnic Specific Program in the Adult / Older Adult Division of the Behavioral Health Department based out of the Gardner Health Services Corporate Office located at 160 E Virginia Street, San Jose, CA 95112. Under general supervision of the Program Supervisor, the MHT provides assessments and related psycho-social services to adult recipients of CalWORKs and their families.
The Ethnic Specific Program offers culturally competent mental health services for Asian Pacific Adults and Older Adults. The program provides evidence bases practices designed to fit the cultural needs and to improve life functioning , restore relationships, and increase engagement in the community.

Gardner Health Services is now offering hiring bonuses for qualified Mental Health Specialists and Mental Health Therapists! Mental Health Specialist with a Bachelor’s Degree will receive a $5,000 bonus and Mental Health Therapist’s with a Master’s Degree will receive a $7,500 bonus.

Minimum Qualifications :
The minimum qualifications of this position is listed below. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- MHT I - Masters Degree plus registered with the California Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) as MFTI or ASW and have obtained an effective Waiver of Licensure from the Santa Clara Dept of Mental Health.
- MHT II - Masters Degree plus License
- MHT III - License-waivered (pre-licensed) Doctorate Degree
- Bilingual / Bicultural preferred.
- If selected, other documents and certifications may be required as part of the hiring and credentialing process
Compensation :
Compensation and level of position placement will be determined based on relevant experience and education.
MHT I : $78,048.49 - $90,479.59 / Annually
MHT II (Licensed) - $90,863.55 - $105,335.75 / Annually
MHT III (PHD, Unlicensed) - $88,881.01 - $103,037.45 / Annually
