Chemistry Teacher (SY 2025-2026)

QUALIFICATIONS:          

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree Preferred
• Massachusetts Licensure in Chemistry       

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

JOB GOAL: Responsible for the instruction of chemistry and related classes in a high school setting serving students in grades 8 through 12.

PERFORMANCE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Instruct students in chemistry and related science classes
2. Work as a team member within the science department and attend common planning time
3. Create high level and innovative lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the school year
4. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
5. Utilize a variety of curriculum resources to diversify instruction and lessons
6. Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans
7. Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational and cultural backgrounds of the students served
8. Observe and evaluate students' performance and maintain electronic gradebook
9. Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking positive disciplinary procedures
10. Attend scheduled meetings and professional developement as required

SALARY AND BENEFITS:  Per Teacher Contract
