Math Teacher (SY 2025-2026)

QUALIFICATIONS:          

• Minimum Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree Preferred
• Massachusetts Licensure in Math at the High School or Middle School Level      

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

JOB GOAL: Responsible for the instruction of math classes in a high school setting serving students in grades 8 through 12.

PERFORMANCE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Instruct students in math classes
2. Work as a team member of the math department and participate in common planning time
3. Create high level, innovative lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the school year
4. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
5. Utilize a variety of curriculum resources to diversify instruction and lessons
6. Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans
7. Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational and cultural backgrounds of the students served
8. Observe and evaluate student performance and maintain electronic gradebook
9. Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking positive disciplinary procedures
10. Attend scheduled meetings and professional development as required

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  School Year

SALARY AND BENEFITS:  Per Teacher Contract
