Warehouse Receiving Lead

Job Description

As a Warehouse Lead, you will ensure the smooth operations and efficient functioning of the warehouse. You will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse staff, overseeing their day-to-day activities, and ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Your exceptional leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks will contribute to the overall success of the warehouse.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including picking, packing, shipping, and receiving.
• Plan and prioritize work assignments for the team to ensure optimal workflow and productivity.
• Train and develop team members on proper warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain quality control and accuracy of inventory.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfilment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the team and address performance concerns through coaching and mentoring.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and software.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and ability to enforce safety protocols.
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required during warehouse operations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
