The Florence, SC Branch Manager (BM) is a critical position within Gardner Marsh. The BM is tasked with overseeing and leading team performance both in the office and warehouse. In addition to managing, the BM must assist with answering incoming phone calls, taking and keying customer orders, assisting with warehouse picking and shipping, as well as investigating and solving customer inquiries and problems. Assistance with product selection and general troubleshooting of LP and Natural Gas products and appliances is required. It is important that the Branch Manager values and adheres to the Company vision of being a Value Added Distributor, meeting our customer’s needs efficiently, going the extra mile to provide superior customer service.
Responsibilities
The Branch Manager will be required to:
- Ensure the office and warehouse operate at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training employees as well as actively assisting in the day-to-day warehouse and customer service duties.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Facilitate property maintenance and repairs as needed and directed.
- Other assignments as given by Supervisors.
Qualifications
- Must be a self-motivated learner and strong leader. A desire to learn, investigate and problem solve is essential. The Branch Manager will wear many hats, from supervisor, customer service representative, counter sales, to order picker/packer/shipper.
- 3 years’ experience in the LPG industry is required. Must be able to assist customers with product selection and application questions.
- Basic math skills.
- PC skills – Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Administrative skills including record keeping, ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Must maintain a neat and organized workspace.
- Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers and supervisors patiently and effectively.
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
