What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spanish Teacher, High School (Immediate Opening) position at Gardner Public Schools?
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree, Master's Preferred
- Massachusetts licensure preferred, but will work with qualified applicant to gain lcensure.
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
JOB GOAL: Responsible for the instruction of Spanish classes in a high school setting for grades 8 through 12.
PERFORMANCE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Instruct students in multiple levels of Spanish.
- Work as a team member within the World Language Department
- Create interactive and innovative lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the school year
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
- Utilize a variety of curriculum resources to diversify instruction and lessons
- Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans
- Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational and cultural backgrounds of the students served
- Observe and evaluate student's performance and maintain electronic gradebook
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking positive disciplinary procedures
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: School Year
SALARY AND BENEFITS: Per Teacher Contract
