Part-Time Receptionist – CPA Firm
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Part-Time Receptionist to join our fast-paced CPA firm. The ideal candidate thrives in a client-facing role, has excellent multitasking skills, and enjoys providing high-quality support in a professional office environment. This role is perfect for someone who excels at customer service, phone etiquette, and office administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet clients and professionally handle phone calls.
- Schedule and manage appointments for tax preparers.
- Respond to client inquiries promptly, coordinating with on-site and off-site staff as needed.
- Prepare and mail tax organizers and completed tax returns.
- Notify clients when their tax returns are ready for pickup and process payments.
- Track client tax preparation progress, from document submission to e-filing.
- Assist with scanning and organizing tax documents.
- Follow up on accounts receivable as needed.
Qualifications:
✅ At least one year of experience answering phones in a busy office.
✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office equipment.
✅ Strong organizational and time-management skills.
✅ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
✅ Excellent communication and client-service skills.
Schedule:
- Thursdays and Fridays, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Saturday mornings may be required during tax season.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ProSeries, Ultra Tax).
- Familiarity with online and machine credit card processing.
- Previous experience in accounts receivable and collections.
