Gardner-Webb University is seeking a dynamic, results-driven professional to lead corporate and foundation fundraising efforts as the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. Reporting directly to the Vice President for Advancement, this position is integral to securing philanthropic support, fostering impactful partnerships, and advancing the university’s mission to provide exceptional educational experiences while expanding opportunities for students. The successful candidate will identify, cultivate, and secure funding from corporate and foundation donors through innovative strategies, relationship-building, and the creation of targeted proposals.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Collaborate closely with the Vice President for Advancement to develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate and foundation representatives while working to align their interests with Gardner-Webb’s priorities.
- Develop compelling grant proposals and case statements tailored to donor objectives.
- Maintain regular communication with existing donors by providing program updates, and demonstrating the impact of their support.
- Oversee and manage a portfolio of corporate and foundation prospects, tracking engagement and solicitation progress.
- Prepare comprehensive reports to foundations detailing the use of grant funds and program outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Advancement team to organize events, such as donor recognition ceremonies and campus visits, to deepen engagement with corporate and foundation partners.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Advancement.
