Gardner-Webb University invites applications for the position of Human Resources Coordinator. This position provides administrative support and coordinates defined functions within the Human Resources (HR) department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors to the HR Office – providing assistance and answering questions.
- Create and maintain accurate records including employee, benefit and payroll records.
- Compose letters and documents as needed.
- Coordinate the 5 Year background check process for all current employees. and prospective employees and volunteers.
- Enter and manage Human Resources data in Banner including New Hire entry
- Coordinate the administrative function of the onboarding process.
- Communicate with employees offering answers to questions or assistance with HR related issues.
- Volunteer, Work-study and Summer Employment Coordination
- Coordinate job postings and removals through HRIS and requested advertising locations.
- I-9 and Everify Compliance
- ADP Onboarding Process (FT New Hires)
- Request to Fill and New Hire Processing
- CBC and DT processing for full time employees
- Assist with ordering supplies, invoicing for billing and completing employment verifications.
- Perform essential tasks as requested.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from a two-year college or university; or two years related work experience and/or training with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) programs.
- Ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail.
- Effective and professional communication with all University stakeholders.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all personnel matters.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a HR Assistant or relevant HR/administrative position.
- Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Banner.
