Billing/Accounts Receivable Associate
Reports To:
The Billing/Accounts Receivable Associate will report to the Accounting Supervisor.
Job Overview:
The Billing/Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for invoicing and assisting the Accounts Receivable Specialist. The position requires efficient and effective interdepartmental communication in order to complete tasks quickly.
The individual is positive, energetic, self-motivated, able to manage timelines, and work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The role demands a team player with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Process daily invoicing ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
- Distribute invoices to customers via mail, email and EDI
- Track invoicing process delays and discrepancies for discussion with management for ongoing policy review and improvement
- Maintain customer database in ERP system
- Process customer credit memos and ensure proper documentation and approvals
- Process customer credit applications
- Investigate and resolve customer inquiries regarding invoices
- Apply customer payments via check, ACH and credit card in ERP system
- Generate and distribute AR statements to customers
- Other Accounts Receivable duties as assigned
- Assist other areas of accounting department as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required, college courses preferred
- Prior corporate billing experience preferred
- Prior experience with Made2Manage (or similar ERP)
- Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills required
- Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast changing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Access
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required
- Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
- Creative, self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency
Work Status: Full Time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 - 5:00 and overtime as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
