MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years work experience demonstrating reliability, preferably in manufacturing
- Must be willing to learn our powder coat process including water treatment, painting, curing, loading/unloading, packaging/labeling, and material handling
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Coordinate work assignments for approximately 6-8 powder coat associates including painters, loaders, and unloaders in coordination with or in the absence of the Powder Coat Supervisor
- Work closely with Fabrication and other departments to determine the schedule for on time delivery
- Provide feedback on quality issues and assist root cause investigation including implementing corrective actions
- Train employees on the safe and proper operation of Powder Coat line
- Willingness to be a daily hands-on participant in powder coat area
- Train on fork truck operation and utilize fork truck for safe daily operation in the Powder Coat area
- Lead off-line packaging and labeling operations in the Powder Coat area
- Perform daily water test analysis as required by supervision
- Assist with daily and weekly off-shift preventive maintenance activity for the Powder Coat line
- Work with the Powder Coat Shift Supervisor and Plant Manager on improving safety, quality, OTD, product flow and Lean daily management processes throughout the Powder Coat Department including helping to implement standardized procedures
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years work experience demonstrating reliability and leadership potential
- Trustworthy, mature, and ready to lead a shift when needed
- Able to lift 50lbs and stand for the duration of a 8-10 hour shift
- Preferred: Ability to assume additional responsibility as the business grows and as we add more shifts to the department
- Preferred: Ability to learn painter role and perform role when workforce issues require it
