Under the general direction of the Imaging Department manager this position will prepare and perform standard x-ray examinations while using proper technique and positioning per provider orders. The technologist will also be responsible for preparing patients for exams, navigating medical records within our EHR, Athena, and notifying the manager of any equipment issues.
Essential functions include
- Navigating EHR system to schedule exams and access clinical information as needed
- Utilize system for radiologist interpretation of diagnostic imaging
- Operate machines according to established procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort
- Answer patient questions and concerns as they relate to the exam
- Operate within radiologic standards of care and follow ALARA imaging principles
- Documenting patient care records as outlined in policies and procedures
Requirements
The successful candidate must have current ARRT Registration and WA Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Radiologic Technician (XT) credentials.
