SUMMARY : Responsible for instructing secondary level students in appropriate subject areas in coordination with current curriculum and within the framework of District and state content standards.

INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT :

Bachelor's degree with proper teaching licensure program required.
Valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsements required.
Experience instructing students in a classroom setting, teaching language arts in a Standard Based environment with record keeping, grading, assessing and reporting preferred.
CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged.
Administer, edit, proofread, and grade students' assignments and assessments.
Participate in professional growth opportunities.
English language skills.
Math and accounting skills.

PRODUCTIVE CITIZEN :

Instruct students in large, small, and one-on-one situations.

Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes.

Monitor student growth and progress, adapt support as needed, and maintain documentation pertinent to academic, social, and emotional progress and needs of students.

Direct Reports : Responsible for supervising the behavior and well-being of students in the classroom, getting on and off the bus, at recess, lunch, and to and from classes.

BUDGET AND / OR RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITY : Assist with planning and monitoring classroom / department budget.
