Gargoyle Steel Structures, Inc. is located in Lubbock TX and is known as one of the top-rated self-storage builders in Texas. With over 15 years in the Self-Storage Construction industry, we have mastered the art of self-storage design.
We are currently seeking driven and dedicated individuals to join our construction team! A Jobsite Assistant performs a variety of general labor tasks associated with the building of our self-storage structures. Our ideal candidate is seeking a long-term position within a growing organization with a willingness to learn from others. Related experience is a plus; however, it is not a requirement.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Assist in building and positioning forms for pouring concrete and dismantling structures after use, using saws, hammers, nails, bolts, or form hardware
- Assist in installing fence poles that may require light welding
- Assist in general landscaping
- Install underground pipe and trenching
- Install and tie rebar in footings
- Dig trenches by using hand and power tools
- Paint and install bollards
- Perform a variety of tasks and duties that may often change as the work conditions require
- Ensure that job sites are cleared of debris and hazardous materials
- Apply cleaning solvents, caulking, adhesives, and sealants
- Operate skid steer and backhoe
QUALIFICATIONS
- A reliable method of transportation
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Travel required to job sites (approx. 75%)
- Ability to use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks and consistently
- Good communication skills to work effectively and safely.
- Ability to work overtime, as required.

PAY RATE: $16 an hour
