We are looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic with a specialty in electrical work to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production lines by maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical systems and equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. This role involves working on the factory floor to troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards specific to the food industry.

This role is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production lines by maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical systems and equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. This role involves working on the factory floor to troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards specific to the food industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical and mechanical equipment used in the food production process, including conveyors, mixers, ovens, packaging machines, and refrigeration units.
- Testing & Diagnostics: Use diagnostic tools and equipment to test, identify, and repair malfunctions in machinery and equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to the production process.
- Component Replacement & Assembly: Replace faulty components, parts, or systems to restore machinery to working order. Assemble, install, and test electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, addressing potential issues before they lead to breakdowns. Maintain records of maintenance tasks performed to ensure equipment longevity and compliance.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, and OSHA standards. This includes following proper Lockout/Tagout procedures and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Cost Estimation & Record Keeping: Generate cost estimates for parts and repairs, track and document maintenance work performed, and maintain accurate records for future reference.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP) and GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) is a plus.
- Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to respond to emergencies quickly and effectively.
- Factory setting, with exposure to loud noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
- May require working in shifts, including evenings, and weekends as needed.
